Sunderland finally returned to the win column on Good Friday as they secured a 2-0 victory over Cardiff City.

Adil Aouchiche and Jobe Bellingham gave interim head coach Mike Dodds his first win of his current spell in charge at the sixth time of asking as Sunderland secured their first away win of 2024 to bring an end to their bleak run of form.

Aouchiche converted from the penalty spot before assisting Jobe for his seventh goal of the season as Dodds and his side enjoyed what has been an all too rare success on their travels in South Wales.

We Are Sunderland's latest briefing reflects on Sunderland's win at the Cardiff City Stadium including a standout display from Jobe after the 18-year-old led the line for Dodds' side.

Jobe won the penalty in which Aouchiche converted before adding to his goal tally this season as part of what was an inspired performance from the teenager. Jobe, signed in the summer from Birmingham City, admitted after the game he is still to establish his preferred position but did this performance cement his spot as Sunderland's starting striker for the remaining seven games of the season? Will he lead the line at the Stadium of Light next year?

Joe Ramage and Dom Shaw share their view on the Jobe positional debate as well as Dodds' future beyond the end of the season, as Sunderland continue to meet prospective new head coach candidates ahead of the summer, before looking ahead to Easter Monday's meeting with Blackburn Rovers at the Stadium of Light.
